Standard Operating Procedure
While curricular activities are activities that are part of the college, there are also a variety of other extra curricular activities that happen ‘outside the classroom’ and do not make up the curriculum. These activities are called co curricular and extra curricular activities, examples of which are aplenty
Extracurricular activities provide additional insight to your portfolio and are reflective of the skills that one comes to learn through them. However, co curricular and extra curricular activities examples do not just embellish your resume but also provide constructive ways to spend one’s time and learn a variety of soft skills that come in handy in life.
Extra-curricular activities that should be included in a personal statement include activities that demonstrate leadership, teamwork, communication skills, and community involvement. These can include volunteering, sports teams, clubs, student government, or other leadership positions.
