The primary purpose of an educational tour or a field tour is to teach students, and provide them with a chance to learn from a new set of experiences in an informal setting. In addition to this, a college tour also allows students to develop close bonds with teachers and classmates. Students come to grow parts of the world on a much deeper level than they ever could in the classroom. Students converse and socialize with local people, which broadens their perspective greatly.
